Our June Successes

Whether big or small, we'd like to hear about what you've done this month. Have you reached any goals at home? Had any opportunities that opened up work wise?

I've had an incredible month. After almost three years of writing novels, I sold a manuscript! (Okay, technically my agent sold the story, but close enough.) My debut novel will release next April with Love Inspired Historical. I'm very excited to see all my hours at the computer generate a little income!

How about you? Tell us what successes you've had this month. We want to celebrate with you as well.

  1. first congratulations on your manuscript sale. I've been wanting to work around my home (home improvement stuff) and things have been moving pretty well so i feel good about that. Richard from the Amish settlement of Lebanon,Pa

And I just changed over the whole house for my almost crawler: crib, gates etc. He's balancing on his knees and just yesterday picked up one hand a couple of times, so we're almost there!

  4. I'm so happy for your wonderful news, Naomi, and glad you're getting things done that you need to, Richard, and congratulations on your fantastic 3rd place win, Melissa!

The two biggest things for me to get done this month were writing seven short skits for my church's childrens' Music Camp with the theme of Around the World With Jesus and finishing up the author interview I'm posting on the June 30th and July 1st for our Making Home Work Blog!

  5. Ugh my internet has been acting up! Congratulations again Naomi!! And congratulations to Melissa on placing in the Fool For Love Contest!
I was able to attend a local writer's workshop thanks to my husband's flexibility with his work schedule. I also have figured out some plot stuff for my wip, although it gives me more work to do, it will help it in the long run! :)

  6. This is Cherilyn...Blogger will not let me leave comments...

    Congratulations Naomi.
This month I have taken a more open-minded look at e-books. I totally completed one of my novels, am very close to finishing the second in a series and have named the third in that series. (Then that series will be done!) I know thinking of a title for an unwritten book may seem like a miniscule accomplishment, but sometimes having things accomplished in my head is the biggest hurdle!! :) haha
