Challenge Week: the Truth Revealed

It's Friday, and we're back to see how you wonderful ladies did with your challenges. To be eligible to win our competition and get your website or blog advertised, you need to report back today or tomorrow.

Did everyone meet their goals? I hope so. My mother is right now ensconced in our guest room, blissfully unaware of the state of chaos reigning in the room a couple day before she arrived.

I think the room looks pretty good. The bookcase is still a little messy, but that's what happens when you jam three times more books than it should hold onto its shelves. I'm hoping one day I can clean the book case up a little better. And that long-sought for day will probably arrive right after my husband adds onto the house and builds me a library with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves lining three walls. Then I can pull the rest of my books out of the basement and set them on the shelves too.

Well, one can dream, right?

So how did everyone else do with their challenges? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. Well, let's see. I bought the calendar I needed yesterday and finished up my homeschool scheduling, spent the week reviewing with my girl, and feel relatively ready to begin next week--it's our first year of a full day of school, so I'm prepared to be flexible. =)

Got the book cover designed--you can see the mock-up here: http://roseannamwhite.blogspot.com/2011/09/thoughtful-about-photoshoots.html

We're all really happy with how that one turned out. =)

I did get some good scenes down in my WIP. Not as many as I would have liked, but I ended up moving up a bad-news scene that took a lot of effort, and I'm pleased with how it turned out and where it now fits in the story.

But the time I would have spent writing that yesterday got spent writing up a proposal my editor asked for. =) A very happy interruption, and I got that synopsis written! In my opinion, a 2 page synopsis is the same amount of work as at least two chapters of story, so . . . ;-)

  2. I made part of my goals this week. Got my two interviews transcribed, but not my Christian Post story, as a source ended up being unavailable until next week. Even corrected one chapter and got another one edited in my WIP, so that's a good feeling to end the week.
