My kids love that. We also do graham crackers for a less sugary something sweet.

But I hear you on the hungry-all-the-time whine! I think my two boys are growing again, which means they are starving. Over the summer, it was hard to keep my four kids fed, they were all so hungry!Sarah Hamakerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01069058366994390856noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5062776272512858294.post-39147450006953888362011-12-12T12:27:01.973-06:002011-12-12T12:27:01.973-06:00What great ideas you have, Brandi! My snacks are usually fruit or cereal, but my five year old loves helping in the kitchen, so I try to include him more in making snacks and so forth.

And I love the idea of three year olds eating anything in the shape of a stick, Carolyn!Naomi Rawlingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02431203734855694561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5062776272512858294.post-26724779928374633902011-12-12T09:17:09.481-06:002011-12-12T09:17:09.481-06:00We've been making homemade oven-baked french f...We've been making homemade oven-baked french fries, either "normal" potatoes (like russet, yellow or red) or sweet potatoes! It does take a little while to cut them up thin, but it's worth it. Baked them in a 450 degree oven for about fifteen minutes, sprinkle a little salt on them & YUMMY! I have a 3 year old and I've found that if you cut just about anything up into little sticks, it's more FUN to eat. Well, except for bananas. Those get made into little circles with a dab of peanut butter and a raisin on top.Carolynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14436557172029575513noreply@blogger.com
